There is a suggestion in sardelac, to make high-end chests increase the title.

How? Purples incresse unlucky, gold ones inclrese lucky.

Also they have sugested that picking a gold drop (like when you picked a golden egg) increased the lucky title.

Maybe that whay it would be a good way to increase it, instead of just sitting AFK in the br

There were some more ideas... but its true... currently the lucky and unlucky are a bit... 'dumb' to get.

You can't be in all events and pick the items, of have the character logged 24 hours getting tickets.

So basically, its not worth it for me to even attempt this, because I have absolutely nothing in my Lucky title track...

Yay...why would they base that of a title like that. I hope that in the near future they add ways for us to work on this title that isn't during events only. Otherwise they can take back their lockpicks, as they'll be worthless to most of the GW community.

Its very contradictory to the Guild Wars 'no-grind' ethos.

im R5 Treasure and R0 Lucky, im breaking me locks every 2 chests.. so if i do 600g keys im wasting money.. pointless imo, unless ur running in hardmode, which is just making the chests 1.5k chests, therefore better gold drop rate.so yeh, another way to get the lucky title would be cool.

actually you're wrong, no one has reached wretched yet, and cursed by fate is the max at 500,000 points.

Agreed 100%. I honestly have no idea why ANet included the Lucky title with lockpick success rate. Treasure Hunter is, of course, self explanatory, but Lucky is a festival title and, just like Unlucky, it should have no bearing on actual gameplay IMHO. To me, the Wisdom title makes much, much more sense to use for lockpicks along with Treasure Hunter.

If you did read it, and "understood it quit well" (quite well?), the quote you gave from GW.com only says the same thing - that the chance of the lockpick remaining intact relies upon the rank in the "lucky" title. It may rely on your level of Treasure Hunter too, and it's not clear which title affects what or by how much, but the Lucky title is a factor.

Wow, you try to help some people out by pointing out another option that is available to them and you get an obnoxious child correcting typos. Sad. Next time don't bother to "post (or even go to) forums" if you don't actually want help.

Hope I didn't offend you again with any further typos.

I must of missed something. Could you explain to me what "other option" you pointed out, what it's an option for, and/or how it relates to increasing your Lucky title?

I think it would make a lot more sense if your lucky title went up one point for each lock successfully picked. As it sits now, your lucky title is unaffected by a successful pick, yet this title contributes toward the picks effectiveness. It makes no sense that a successfully picked lock does not increase your lucky title. The only way to increase your lucky title is to wait for certain events, and that's rather pointless. This should be amended, in my opinion.
That's actually a really good idea.

"pick a lock = 1 luck"
Yeah those are good ideas, and should be put in but don't matter in the long run
cause 250 000 to get rank 3 =) but every little bit counts

getting golds should give you 1 luck too, just like the eggs for treasure hunter.

and to Quaker, there is no other method except (fesitval games, none here yet, and clovers)

It's true no one has reached Wretched yet, however the official GW website of Taiwan or something listed specifically that there were 5 tiers to both Lucky and Unlucky. And Wretched is Tier 5.

Where are you getting this information that there is a Tier 6 called cursed by fate? That is what is wrong.

Uh, how would you know what the max title is for the Unlucky line, then, if no one has Wretched yet? It is impossible to know, sorry. The Korean website that had the listings a long time ago was DEAD WRONG in almost everything they had listed. I proved them wrong in pretty much everything they had down. Right now I'm around 880,000 tickets won and 58,800 games lost, and there's a slim chance anyone has more than I do. Therefore, we do not know if Wretched and Golden are the max titles yet, but I presume they are.

Anyway, I am happy with the fact that my Lucky title has some use now. Now there is a use besides being the biggest gold sink in the creation of man.

Whine about it...that seems to be what the majority of people on this forum do. Honestly some of us chose to do unlucky...oh well it was a choice we made. OMG it came to mean something in the future...oh woe is me, Anet sux...fix it, its not fair. (SotiCoto this was not an attack on you...you just asked the question so well)

On a side note all the jerks that were saying ppl going for lucky were stupid noobs...jokes on you now huh?

All my lockpicks have been breaking and getting worthless golds and some purples I won't be using. I sold them but you simply just don't make a profit if you keep buying lockpicks unless you get something really rare.

ATS testing had titles available to all those who played, if you want screens you can have screens.

I would certainly like a way to work on my lucky / unlucky title, around 600k and 40k atm.. really want rank5 titles, but r6 and r7 are kinda gross

Yeah, I'm just treasure hunter lv1, and lockpicks break everytime. At least the purples I get while vanquishing get the amount of gold back, and locked chest have given me a lot of gold itens (all crap, but they sell very high to merchant).

I'm sure there are ideas in sanderlac, but they need to introduce ways to get luck and unluck title in normal gameplay, such as, everytime you successfuly savage a component without breaking the weapon, you get 5 lucky points, if it breaks, 5 unluck; getting gold drops automatically gives you 10 points, while purples give 6 and rare materials 4. Just ideas, nothing precise, but at least you don't need to farm once or twice an year for them.

To go up one point for each lock you successfully pick? Most people have under 25% chance of saving a lockpick. For every, say, 20 keys, maybe 5 of them will be saved once, and 1 of those 5 saved again. So you're spending 30k, to have a bonus of 6 chests, and adding 6 points to your lucky track? It's unbelievably insignificant. If anything, you should get 1,000 points towards the track. That actually seems pretty fair.

they need to up the percentage a little bit, give us a way to increase the lucky title (or just change it to something else) or reduce the price of the damn picklocks.

We don't have the /.gold command in live ya know!

Note: also, pls change the lucky title so that it's no longer counts tickets but just points. Tickets is too restrictive; you can be lucky in so many ways it's mind-boggling. (like whoever gets a gold crystalline deserves the Golden title )

I am expecting an infinite way (not event) to make lucky points in GW:EN or wherever.
